Fatau Dauda, a former goalkeeper for the Black Stars, is allegedly close to joining Accra Hearts of Oak as the team’s goalkeeper trainer.
Fans are anticipating Dauda’s likely appointment to the coaching team because of his extensive knowledge and impressive career.
Currently, Dauda is the Ghana U-20 team’s goalkeeper coach.
In 2004, Okwawu United of the Ghana Division 1 League was where Dauda started his football career.
Prior to his retirement from professional football, Fatau Dauda played for teams including AshantiGold, Orlando Pirates, Chipper United, Enyimba, and Legon Cities FC.
Between 2008 and 2015, he participated in 26 games for the Black Stars. He also represented Ghana at the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations and started as the tournament’s starting goalie in 2013.
The 38-year-old former goalkeeper is certified D and C by the CAF.
