Danlad Ibrahim, the goalkeeper for Asante Kotoko, has admitted that if his football career hadn’t been successful, he would have pursued a career in comedy acting.
Danlad has risen through the ranks of the national squad and is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the nation.
He has played for Ghana at every young level and was a member of the Black Stars team that represented the dominant nation of West Africa in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The young Ghanaian shot stopper acknowledged his love of entertainment in an interview and said that, had he not opted to play football, he might have pursued a career in acting.
“I enjoy performing, and I enjoy making people laugh. I’m one of the persons who consistently makes amusing jokes merely to get people to laugh, even at camp.
“I can confidently state that if it weren’t for football, I would have become the next Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win), Dr. Likee (Akabenezer). I think I would have been a comedian.
Danlad has been a member of several national teams who have recently struggled at important competitions.
The Black Stars and Black Meteors both lost in the group stages of the World Cup and U23 AFCON, with the exception of the Black Galaxies, who advanced to the CHAN quarterfinals.
