Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has made suggestions that he would join Asante Kotoko again.
In 2008, the midfielder transferred from Berekum Chelsea to the Porcupine Warriors on loan.
Agyemang Badu scored twice in his 18 games while on loan with the team. But after leaving Qingdao, the U-20 World Cup champion signed a one-year contract with Accra Great Olympics for the 2022–23 Ghana Premier League season.
Agyemang Badu, however, departed the club for amicable reasons and has since joined no clubs. The former Black Stars midfielder (Agyemang Badu) disclosed in an interview that his deal with the Olympics has expired and he is still a free agent.
He told Kumasi-based Akoma FM, “My contract with Great Olympics has expired, and I’m open to any team that will match my demands. He also made mention of maybe going back to the Asante Kotoko.
“In response to the question of whether I will return to Asante Kotoko, I will advise the supporters to exercise patience and wait for Manhyia to finish the formalities.
“I will sign and rejoin them when Kotoko presents an offer after that and I find it favorable,” he continued.
For the Black Stars, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu made 78 appearances and scored 11 goals. He was a member of the group that competed in the Brazil 2014 World Cup. Among other clubs, he has played for Udinese Calcio and Hellas Verona.
