The Ghanaian Black Stars, the senior national team, have maintained their position in the most recent Coca-Cola FIFA rankings for July.
The four-time African champions are still ranked 59th overall and 11th in Africa in the rankings.
The top ten teams, which are exclusively made up of teams from Europe and South America, have not changed at all globally.
Argentina continues to lead the pack in first place, followed by France in second and Brazil in third, with England in fourth, Belgium in fifth, and Croatia in sixth.
Morocco is still the best-ranked side in Africa (ranked 13 globally), with Senegal (18), Tunisia (31), and Algeria (33) rounding out the top 5. Egypt (34) rounds out the top 5.
In June 2023, Ghana only participated in one match, a scoreless qualifier for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations against Madagascar.
In September, the Central African Republic (CAR) will be the Black Stars’ opponent as they square off in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final round of qualifiers.
