After quitting the team, defender Robert Addo Sowah sent an emotional letter to Hearts of Oak.

Following the expiration of his contract, Addo parted ways with the Ghanaian powerhouses on Wednesday, ending his seven-year association with the Phobians.

The 29-year-old joined Hearts of Oak in 2016 and quickly became a crucial part of the team, aiding the Ghanaian powerhouses in ending their trophy drought in the 2020–21 campaign.

“For the Rainbow family, being featured was a dream come true. I owe my identity to this Great Club.

I want to express my gratitude to the Board, the Current and Former Technical Team, the Playing Body, and the Supporters of this incredible club for everything they have done for me. Without them all, I would not have advanced very far.

I wish Hearts of Oak the best of luck and dedicate all the enjoyable times I had there to the supporters.
