Samuel Inkoom, a defender for Hearts of Oak, has expressed regret to the club’s supporters for their appalling performance during the just-completed 2022–23 Ghana Premier League season.
The Phobians were on the verge of being demoted from the top division when they drew against Berekum Chelsea on the final day.
With 46 points, Hearts of Oak placed 12th under temporary coach David Ocloo.
Samuel Inkoom has already apologized to the fans and asked them to continue cheering on the team as the new season approaches.
“I’ll simply say that the playing group didn’t do what we should have done to please the fans, which is why every fan is now angry with us. He said to Citi TV, “They have every right.
“I’ll apologize on our team’s behalf. The team is for them whether they like it or not, therefore they should forgive us, Samuel Inkoom continued.
Hearts of Oak will approach the next season with great desire in the hopes of improving upon their miserable 2022–2023 Ghana Premier League campaign.
