Reports that the Teachers’ and Nurses’ Trainee allowances had been terminated have been denied by the Ministry of Education.
The Ministry categorically rejected the allegations as untrue and unjustified in the statement, stressing that there are no plans or intentions to end these allowances.
The message particularly named the Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, to make it clear that any claims made about the termination of the allowances that have been attributed to him are false.
“The claim that the Hon. Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Minister of Education, had canceled allowances for teachers and nursing students is totally incorrect and unjustified. The Ministry of Education refutes any such allegations and any plans to eliminate these benefits.
The government is still dedicated to providing the required financial aid in these places because “we understand the importance of supporting and prioritizing the training of teachers.”
The Ministry also asked the public to rely on reliable and verifiable information from official sources, including the Ministry of Education, official press releases, and reputable news organizations, for updates on issues relating to healthcare and education.
